HOLIDAY CLASS : PART 7

FIIs invested around 6500 Cr of net amount in the first week of this year. It implies the credibility of Indian Stock Markets.
Now, we has to go through the holiday classes which are available regularly in week end. I introduce some more terminology today. The expectations about tomorrow's market are given in the yesterday's episode of " MARKET TODAY : PART 18".

31. DEFAULT ; A state of failure to pay the debt back.

32. DEMATERIALISATION : A state of investors in which they get electronic balance from physical certificates. A DP ( Depository Participant ) account is needed for this purpose.

33. DEPOSITORY : An institution that keeps the securities of the investors under the custody . They perform this service through am registered Depository Participant .

34. DEPOSITORY PARTICIPANT ( DP ) : DP maintains customer's account balance. DPs help to transfer the securities and to give information about account balances.

35. DERIVATIVES : It is a contract between traders based on the future value of stock, currency, index of securities or commodity.
